I like the look of it. What is the source? Manufacturer? Did your installer place any underlayment?

Funny you should post that because I'm having a first-world issue trying to replace our center mat. I really want a mat (as opposed to fitted carpet) because it gets FILTHY with our lifestyle and our dog, who tracks in all kinds of mud. I need to be able to remove this "dirt catcher" and run it through the washing machine after virtually every trip.

However, finding something good quality that is machine washable and that will STAY IN PLACE has proven to be an elusive goal. The best I've come up with so far is marine carpet, which is $25 per linear foot and which doesn't have a non-slip backing. And which I may not be able to cram into the washing machine.

I like our original mat pictured below, but it's threadbare by this time after many washings:

Hereís the guys name and info:

Cheers Phil Frost
TEAK CARPET LLC.
teakcarpet@usa.com
954-205-2433

I searched all over for this. They do add backing and it also comes in lots of different colors. It is indoor outdoor carpet made for boats so itís very durable. They say itís water proof, resistant to chlorine and stains, etc.

Call or email Phil. You can tell him you got his name from me, Kurt.

We have a Ext lounge version that they made a template for but they can do any version.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Holy moly! Look at that website! They have nicer stuff than West Marine! I know this, because it's not a week now since I went in to peruse West Marine's order-able lines of carpet!

I'm curious --- What is the purpose of the upper section in the floor at the entry? It appears to be removable with two screws at the edges - what is underneath?

I'm sorry, I got interrupted in the middle of posting those pics. Just another alternative to get the teak look. That is teak n holly flooring by Nauticflor. Rigid pvc planking that's big in the marine industry. That hatch is where the battery compartment is on an 82 310 Motorhome. Those are recessed pulls on either side to remove the hatch cover.

I'm very limited as to how much aisle carpet I can install because the refrigerator door is right at floor level and does not clear the mat. I started to put a mat between the twins and up the aisle so that we would not need to step on hard/cold floor at night. Because the refrigerator is directly across from the bathroom door, I had to stop the mat short of the bathroom.

I put the remaining piece of the mat in front of the driver's side second row chair where I spend much of my time watching TV. I have my old gray "Airstream" mat across the door to catch all the gravel and such that might be brought in from outside.

If anyone here is planning an order from TEAK CARPET LLC (the OP's vendor) and you happen to be thinking about Platinum Black #0095, please let me know.

That's what I'd like to try making a center aisle mat out of, but one thing you'll learn really quickly if you dabble in marine carpeting is that it is hella expensive. And, there are minimum purchase requirements. So if I get together with another buyer, that vendor will not up-charge on what would otherwise be a too-large minimum yardage order for me (he told me this).

He also mentioned that someone else unrelated to this forum may be making an order of that color and I might be able to piggy-back on their order, but I thought I'd throw this possibility out here.

Platinum black looks like it would go best with the T1N scheme, for those of us who have gray Ultraleather.

Ours clears the fridge door. Actually keeps it from swinging as it is right on top of carpet. I can post a pic if u want.

May depend on the thickness of the carpet. Mine does not clear the carpet I have; just bunches it up. The carpet is not very thick, but the door is very low.
