Table pedestal base

My wife hates the table pedestal base just forward of the rear lounge. It does not appear as if there would be any particular problem removing it, but she insists I check with you all before I do so just in case I am missing something obvious or non-obvious.

If you remove that base I think you will have a large hole in the floor that will be worse than the table base unless you plug that hole too.

On our 2007 the pedestal was flush mounted so all that was left after removal was 8 screw holes. I put some carpet there and haven't given it another thought.

The pedestal base is surface-mounted over the flooring material. Remove the base and plug the screw holes, and you're good.
