Multiple members at multiple times, in fact. As problems go, that one is old and tired, but we still can't seem to rid ourselves of it.

I remember that too...maybe we should exaggerate length when and if we have to call to make sure right one shows up. Wonder what would happen if we said its 30 feet?

What is best roadside assistance company...it would be nice to know good experiences and company associated...is it good Sam, AAA, etc. Do most people carry more than one policy?

I have had AAA 17 years, and like it.

I think if we get to exaggerating length too much, they would know, as your AAA or whatever is for your specific rig.

On edit: I think AAA actually insures the driver, State Farm, et al, insure the vehicle.

AAA locates the tow truck and sends it, unless you are dealing with a need independent of your insurance.

The couple of times I have had to be towed, there was always some scraping tho never damage.

No scraping involved.

Sorry to hear about your van IB.

I have Good Sam, and I've had to call them twice in the past 4.5 years (once in the U.S., once in Canada). Both times they performed as well as I would have expected them to.

In the most recent instance, my guess is that the short flatbed would have been delivered regardless of which company was doing the dispatching, on account of the vehicle weight and length.
