I need to get the hitch height measurement to the top of the receiver opening (inside). I measured mine and it showed 14" but I don't think I was on level ground. I don't have any level ground here at home. Can a few of you measure yours for me?

Hi, Tincampers! I was wondering what you guys have been up to lately.

So, you mean from the ground surface directly beneath the van, to the top inner surface of the receiver itself? And it has to be extremely accurate?

Our rig is in our off-site garage right now, which is as perfectly level as anything can be (more level than a domestic garage, which is sloped for drainage). I can measure it in a few days when I am next over there.

We actually just returned from a short trip to Florida. Camped out about 5 days out of 10. The van ran great with no major issues. The a/c is definitely not up to par when in the direct sun at 90 degrees! I am reviewing your heat-related posts for some tips.

The measurement doesn't have to be accurate, I just want to compare with what mine measured. I looked at some posts over on sprinter-source forums and theirs were way different than mine by 3" or so.

I just measured mine in my driveway. I measured 16 3/4 inches to the top inside of the hitch receiver.

I finally measured mine today.
16” to the top inside of the hitch receiver (actually measured to the top of the motorcycle rack I currently have on it- and of course that goes right into the receiver).

I have adjustable air bags on the rear of mine, so I can easily change the rear height if I wan.t

I actually measured mine the other day but could not recall which point of reference was requested. So I took this pic. The bottom edge of the receiver is just inside the lip of the Stowaway reinforcing brace.

Same as mine. Any measurement would work. We bought an enclosed cargo trailer to haul the motorcycle in and they said the hitch needed to be 18”. Turns out to be much lower than that.

Nice! I have a friend who is mostly off-forum. He has a sapphire striped T1N Interstate, and he had the same blue stripe replicated with same height and width on his trailer so that the two look like they were made for each other.

You are reading my mind. I’m trying to decide if I want to carry back the black area from the windows as well. I special ordered the silver color, it is a pretty close match.

Pulling the trailer does mess with the fuel mileage but it will be worth it to have our scooter with us when we travel.

Oh my word, look at this - that's a gussied-up trailer. IMO, this is taking the coordination thing a bit too far. It reminds me of a headless Halloween costume.

I would think a T1N would have issues with that one. Interesting concept though.

To use an HGTV term, I think it's a bit too matchy-matchy. I do like a well-coordinated trailer look, but not a full-on Madame Tussaud's style look.
