Least desirable floor plan, but does seem to be in good shape.

First time I've seen a mod like this:

Andy is offering an Interstate that had the curb-side couch removed and a wheel chair lift installed. For the right buyer, this could be the purchase that they've been looking for.

What a great idea! That layout works really well in combo with the lift.

I see he still have the original couch if somone wanted to return to stock.

November 16, 2018: If any mid-bath T1N Interstate owner is in the mood to sell, contact the flipper Andy Ikerd (eBay, Flickr, LinkedIn, etc.). He reportedly has a customer right now who wants to buy exactly that, and nothing else.

He phoned LB_3 yesterday, asking if WE would consider selling. I was like, "Wait - he did WHAT?!"

TINCAMPERS - I don't own a T1N and have only seen them in pics here. While this floorplan is not for me, and not questioning your claim that this is the least desirable floor plan, I would like to know why it is the least desirable? If I took an out of box thinking & played a bit devil's advocate of this floor plan, it would work for those folks (like me) who like to take their AI as a tailgating party machine. The whole front is contiguous as entertaining area for this. The stinky cooking area & bathroom area are way at end. So one can even curtain that area off. And cooking area is easy to vent out thru rear foors. The front area feels more wide open. Also kinda gives you the same feel as a miniature Class A with no real rear door access to inside. It same reason I love the king bed/couch across the rear. I can see its advantages, even though I would not pick it as my 1st choice. I think that floorplan may still work for 1 person or a couple that has identical sleep/wake patterns.

But for non-tailgating, I actually prefer our separate living quarters up front, mid-bath galley, and bedroom in rear. So wife, daughter, grandson can sleep way back while I still do my tinkering up front past midnight. We slide a curtain across bath/galley to darken the rear. And bath is accessible for both of us.

The purists among us want to preserve the use of the back doors, so having the living quarters amidships is out. Nothing expands the Interstate's effective "living" area quite like having the back door(s) thrown open and a "porch" in the form of a large hitch platform.

The one advantage to center couches might be a somewhat smoother ride (compared to the rear) if someone wanted to sit there while underway. Sit there and work on a computer, for instance. But I got around the rear harshness limitation via a swiveling cab passenger seat and a Lagun table mount up front (here).

INTERBLOG - Yes, I forgot about the ride quality diff between center vs. rear. As a cyclist, I
sometimes have to carry 2or3 bikes and not wanting to put them outside on a rack, the rear twin jacknife like yours is a convenient & fast way to load those bikes from the rear all the way through. I don't have the rear porch, I don't even have the rear window anymore. I closed it permanent coz on NCV3 it too small to be of any use for anything other than a little peek of light.

Purely my opinion. For one person it would be nice to have the small dinette and a single bed. We like the floor plan with the opposing jackknife sofas. Ours is the rear bath model. Works for us. If I had a choice of all floorplans when I bought, I would go with the rear sofas first, mid sofas second, rear cross mounted sofa and finally the side dinette last.

New eBayer, no transactions - might be a scam (plus they listed the MY incorrectly). Post wording is atypical for scams, though, so I sent them an email.

Does not appear to be a scam - I've traded emails with the owners (married couple). Price is very good - they might get bid up a bit.

Have them act fast, if they are going to act. I passed on the flipper Andy Ikerd's phone number to the sellers yesterday evening, because he also had someone looking.

Sellers report having a serious potential buyer in negotiations.

Newbies. They put it on Craigslist first and got no response. Probably because the whole world assumes that any such vehicle listed on Craiglist is a scam, duh.

Then they moved to eBay where I think they lowered their price expectations because of the Craigslist experience.

I told them they were priced on the low end.

The newbie sale closes this evening and there are currently 65 watchers, so it will be interesting to see what transpires.

No sale. Maybe they should take it over to Andy, they'd get a lot more for it and wouldn't have to hassle with tire kickers.
