Happens to remotes and many "soft" plastics. Use the stronger 100% isopropyl alcohol. It may take a little rubbing to clean it and the buttons will probably be shiny but that's better than sticky.

On a cotton swab dipped in acetone, lightly rub the offending switch. Test the acetone on a corner of the switch first to make sure it doesn't cause any damage to the plastic. It shouldn't. Or you use fantastic to get the grunge off and see what remains. If you want to clean more than these buttons, try Marine Clean (Kleen?). The last is really good on virtually any plastic and fiberglass surface.
