Ordered one of these for $15.99 from amazon.com today. Magnetic, stainless steel.

This will go over the burners, on the protective steel install that protects the cabinet. Lays pretty flat.

Maggie!
You need to provide a link to this. I just spent 20 minutes trying to find it on Amazon with zero success.....

Thank you!
Since we are "on the road" we will just bookmark this one for now. Maybe we can see it at Alumolina....

We are on the road, too, but I had it overnighted to our campground.

Ridiculously expensive this way, but the over-cabinet one just had to go, and now.

See you at Alumalina!

I have found these shelves invaluable, perhaps you'd find them helpful. I use mine over the door for storage of hair curlers, hats, scarves, etc. and I use the large one for use in the kitchen. I found light weight plastic (like melanine) to make the shelve surface more to my liking. The shelve folds down to an inch or so.... Very convenient. I really don't use them for their intended use in the suitcase but for more shelves where I stay while traveling. You may not see in the photo very well but the hooks go over the door are substantial. Anyway, They work great.

They come in two sizes. Here's part of the ad.
Innovative Shelves

Unpack your suitcase in five seconds flat. These award-winning packable shelves organize your clothes, making them easy to access. The contained design also decreases shifting and creasing in transit. Just hang the shelves in your closet, fill them up and put them in your bag. When you get to your destination, simply pull them out and hang them in the closet. Straps adjust the height. Mesh siding offers ventilation and easy cleaning. Holds up to 35 lbs. Polyester with wire frames. Imported.

Small Shelves To Go
Open: 18"L x 12"W x 23"H. 1 lb. 8 oz.

And also,
Large Shelves To Go
Open: 20"L x 12"W x 23"H. 1 lb. 12 oz

It arrived. Is made to lay flush against a wall/surface, and has incredibly powerful, large magnets holding it in place. This will not be coming loose in travel or going anywhere.

I wanted the paper towels UP, and that it is, but it's going to dangle rather than laying flush as it would if I had a vertical steel surface to put it on. Tried Velcro sticky strips to hold it up, but don't think they will withstand the weight of a full roll of paper towels.

There is plenty of clearance over the stove, and items behind on the shelf are easily accessible. That's the top of the coffee maker below and to the left, and it is sitting on the elevated burner cover.

I like it, is the verdict. Not perfect, but much better.

Have y'all seen these? So tiny, much better than hauling around even a small bottle of bleach, and no worries about spillage or splashes.

We sanitized our fresh water tank with a couple of these last week, just dropped them in a partially filled tank. No funnel needed. . I have also dissolved one in water for cleaning purposes. You can get them at Walmart, in the bleach section.

Girl stuff

Ladies, if you haven't discovered Lush products, they are some of the best items ever, and many are especially suited to travel and living in small spaces.

I LOVE their shampoo bars, which do what they say they do and are just oh-so-handy. Yes, they are a bit pricey, but one bar will do daily shampoos for a couple of months.

Am going to try to copy the link here. If it doesn't work, go to Lush.com.

Shampoos

Guy Stuff

The wet bath in my Interstate has a wall-mounted liquid soap dispenser with spouts for three products. After a year of experimentation, I now put Dawn dish soap in one, waterless hand sanitizer in the second, and shampoo in the third.

The only one I have to make sure not to run out of is the dish soap. I wouldn't care to wash dishes with shampoo, though I suppose as long as I rinse thoroughly it would work. But if I run out of either shampoo or hand sanitizer, I can use the dish soap as a substitute until I can get more.

One of these arrived from LLBean today, recommended by an Alumalina attendee (thank you, Bonnie).

Legs expand, then collapse to store. Table top snaps on securely, then accordion-folds to put away.

Incredibly compact, lightweight and sturdy, in a cute little carry bag, and takes up about 1/6th the space of the stool we have been carrying behind the driver's seat for a couple of years.

We thought we might need a stool, and on very rare occasions we do, but mostly the flat top is used for the crock pot when we are in a campsite with picnic table.

Smaller is better.

And, it's aluminum!
