For those not lucky enough to avail themselves of Maggie's Alumalina generosity, there is this 99 cent alternative at Michael's crafts, hung using strips of velcro. I saw these and thought, "Aw geez, ninety-nine cent itty bitty totes and so cute - I have to find a place for a few of them". The plastic is fairly soft and squishy so they don't rattle while the vehicle is moving.

Perfect!

If you posted a photo of that before, it may be where I came up with the idea of where to hang them.....I don't recall.

I'm going to pick up some S hooks when I am next in town, which will be perfect for them.

IB, should our paths cross, I will custom-make one for you in a favorite color.

I will also make some for the Moraine View Rally.

I didn't intend to be rude, but in retrospect it may have appeared that way.

I would gladly make one for anyone who asks.....out of my yarn stash, or bring your own favorite color.

Quite by accident while shopping in brick-and-mortars today, I discovered this 64-oz rectangular Nalgene that fits every which way in the Dometic in quite an ideal fashion... a more efficient use of space than traditional cylinder bottles.

Hard to come by, though... only one left on Amazon and I snapped it up. I will be on the hunt for a few more.

Rubbermaid makes 1/2 gallon and quart rectangular bottles, too, which fit nicely on the door.

I found mine at Walmart.

Hi Maggie!!! how are you... things are great out here... for the fridge, I like to save the square tea or juice bottles... decant the liquids, then recycle after the trip... nothing extra to store...
Hugs, gail

Hi Gail! Good to hear from you!

Past the first anniversary and doing okay.

Have had our mutual friend on my mind, wondering what the plans are. Pm me if you have any info.

Take care.

Those Naglene bottles are back in stock at Amazon. REI has them also.

Bought a couple and love them - Thanks IB!

Towel suggestions?

Maggie - I've been thinking of you, hope you are doing okay!

I hope I haven't missed this elsewhere, but does anyone have a recommendation on lightweight, quick dry towels? A friend mentioned Bareskin beach towels because they do not hold sand when used outdoors and fold very small, but dry very quickly (which would be really nice in our tiny shower/bath. When I checked others on Amazon, there were so many that I wanted to get a few other opinions.

Between us and the dogs, our towels tend to take up a lot of space...

Thanks!

I bought two of the Shandali travel towels for human use (one of each color for my husband and I). Haven't road-tested them yet but I went on the basis of the online reviews, and I will say that they sure are nice-feeling - they seem to be excellent quality. I had initially made the newbie mistake of thinking I could use regular cotton towels, but the towel bar in the Interstate is too small for two of them. These fit.

Amazon.com : #1 Rated Travel Towel - MICROFIBER - Guarantee Bleed Free - Includes Hook : Sports & Outdoors

For kitchen / hand towel use, I also bought a Packtowel nano. My kitchen towels tend to be perpetually damp from frequent use, so I'm hoping that this ultra-thin thing will provide maximum drying potential.

Amazon.com : Packtowl Nano Light Towel (Small, Sunrise) : Camping Towels : Sports & Outdoors

And hello to you, as well! We are doing just fine, thank you.

We bought a couple of years ago, from Kohl's, I believe, a set of quick-dry towels that have been wonderful.

Kind of waffle-ey in texture, like a lightweight, regular towel. They absorb moisture as a regular one would, but dry quickly...post-shower, and in the dryer. I'll try to find a link and post.

For towels, I bought these (http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000AMDO4C/..._M3T1_ST1_dp_1) and am very happy. I was looking for the smallest size possible that I can still wrap around my waist, but easily hang a couple from the towel bar in the bathroom. They dry me thoroughly and then dry quickly. I can fit two of these on the towel bar and a third towel for drying down the bathroom after showering.
