I buy most herbs and spices in bulk, too, then you can save money and also re-use pretty jars.

I store a lot of things in sturdy, ziploc bags, which create a bendable, shapable container that fits into odd spaces.

The pill bottles and zip lock bags are both good ideas. The spice jars that I do have are apothecary jars, but I'm trying to phase glass out of the trailer.

I have pretty, refillable spice jars in the spice rack over the sink, plastic for most anything else.

If you go into a Hobby Lobby or Michaels (craft stores), they have a number of stacking, twist/lock together items...I believe where you would find beads and things like that.

They are not completely airtight, so mind what you put in them, but work very well and, by stacking, use otherwise wasted vertical space.

Another way to store spices is in the 7 day pill box - either small or large

Then simply write the spice name on the side with a sharpie or label maker. There are also stackable screw together pill bottles that work well for all amounts.

That's a great idea!

The storage things I referred to at craft stores are the same principal, but the units are larger and 3-4 per, rather than 7.

I like to get those 6-in-one spice collections (the cylindrical ones with the wedge-shaped compartments). Keeps everything together. The tops come off easily, so they can be refilled.

My daughter got me to get onto Groupon, which I did, and notice they ply you with nice coupons to get you to make a purchase.

I was not sufficiently impressed until, with a $10 coupon, I came across this little item. 8" tall, with two small, removable flashlights, good ratings, a very good price and free shipping. A bargain made for me!

Looks to be perfect for those occasional evenings on the road, when I am up and out after dark.

And, it's red and it's cute. :}

I can't figure out how to copy the photo, as I am on my laptop away from home (slaying dragons this week), rather than in my chair with the IPad.

Funny, the ad for this has just appeared at the top of my page.

What I meant was that Google tracks you and provides your deepest desires to internet sellers. One reason I started using Bing.

Mmmm, probably true.

If we knew the full extent to which our personal privacy was compromised......but, then, that would be another thread.

That's what ad blockers and "Do not track me" plug-ins are for. I use both, and the only ads I ever see on the Forums are for rallies.

We collect pins from the places we stay. Our Airstream trailer had the perfect place, but the AI was a bit harder to locate a spot. So here's what we did:

A small dry marker board, half covered in cork (for fins). Two small hinges and two small velcro buttons. The marker for messages. The magnets for urgent reminders. We keep our travel book and various papers in the cubbyhole.
