Always looking to improve my efficient use of limited space , I ordered some of these for the Interstate a few months back and have had my first opportunity to use them today.

They fill easily, air squeezes out, they seal tightly and take up a fraction of the storage space in the small frig that a hard sided container does.

I ordered a set of the 16oz, also a set of varied sizes.

I don’t know the brand, but there are many highly rated out there.

Thanks Maggie - those look like a great item to save space and reduce waste. They are ECOBERI brand, available at Amazon and Walmart. There are also similar brands.

Those bags are new to me. How easy is it to get the interior clean all the way into the corners?

I haven’t had any problems, tho I don’t let food dry and sit for any period of time before washing.

Hot water and Dawn.

I believe they can go in a dishwasher, tho I don’t have one.

They are made of same silicon material as our vegetable steamer, and we run it through the dish washer at home all the time.

Since first beginning RV travel in 2001, we have had a series of small, handheld vacuum cleaners, which have all been adequate, but this most recent one is, without a doubt, the best.

Shark UltraCyclone Pet Pro Cordless Handheld

https://www.walmart.com/ip/Shark-Ult...E&gclsrc=aw.ds

It is a bit more expensive than the others I have had, but the rotating brush actually cleans pet hair off the seats and throw rugs, and the wide plus narrow (included) wands get all the dirt, sand, etc., from the little areas beneath the cabinet doors and any other tiny area where you may direct it.

And all the non-motorized parts come apart easily for cleaning.

I love it, so there’s my review after 6 weeks or so of use.

That looks very nice, Maggie. I just replaced my cordless Dyson after 2nd new battery died with this https://www.walmart.com/ip/Tineco-PW...B&gclsrc=aw.ds

Don't know how it works yet. I use it in the house also so want a stick.

I'm replacing the foam on my sofa bed on 2007 with this hinged mattress: https://www.tochta.com/hinged-mattress/

I've been sleeping on 5" upholstery foam on top of the existing mattress for 5 years and finally decided to replace the whole mattress. It will still be higher than the 'dinette' seats, but at least it's all one piece and I'll be able to use the sofa again. (fingers crossed)

The Tineco DID NOT WORK. The battery was bad so I bought your recommendation, Maggie. Just used it on my carpeted stairs and couldn't believe what it got up. Thanks for the recommendation. It will fit much better in the van than a stick.

Well, good!

I took the filters and canister parts out and washed them with soap and water last week, then laid them out to dry in the sun.

I have had this item about a year, and want to say that…along with my mini electric skillet…it is the item I use most often to prepare meals.

These also come with a 12volt plug.

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00EC7XJ00...1-df67fc737124

As most meals prepared by me leave leftovers for at least one more meal, popping the cold leftovers in the Hot Logic on the counter is a set-it-and-forget-it meal to come back to find piping hot in a couple of hours.

I have used this item a lot, for reheating leftovers, pre made food, heating frozen dinners a few times , and have found that a silicone bowl can also be safely used in this for items like soup.

Easily large enough to heat food for two, and the heating element with cord removes for easy cleaning.

That's an interesting product. Heard about them around the camp fire but didn't realize how the product worked. We've added them to our "wish list" for future consideration.

Thanks for posting this Maggie! I love the Hot Logic! It makes super moist chicken! I have a fledgling YouTube channel on which I posted a video about the Hot Logic. They work great!!!! My YouTube channel is Katy's Camp Kitchen. The name of the video is Hot Logic Super Moist Chicken - I only have a few videos so far - it won't be hard to find! They use very little power and are ideal for boondocking!

I’m very pleased with mine, heating food to piping hot.

When I was looking for a picture and a link today, something popped up regarding Recipes, so you can apparently cook in these, tho I have not tried that.

I’ll look for your video, bugs.

I heated homemade tomato soup in mine earlier…thawed, in its vacuum seal bag, set inside a bowl…got hot, cut the top off and poured it into a mug.

A mini oven. ☺️

They definately do cook - It is my go to way to cook chicken now unless on the grill. It is super moist and tender. I just add a bit of EVOO, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. The glass can have a bit of baked on chicken fond... I am actually cooking some chicken right now that is on parchment and foil to see if i can eliminate the clean up.

I think I will try the vacuum bag also like you did the tomato soup in - it should work! Thanks for posing on how you did the tomato soup - I am going to do that!

They dont cook potatoes, old fashioned rice or eggs from scratch because they go only to about 165-170, but they reheat them wonderfully. I have successfully cooked minute rice in it.

I upgraded my tool bag for the Interstate to this little cutie by Carhart, which has just arrived…

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B014TDFW9C...roduct_details

13"L x 7.25"W x 11"H, with 6 pockets on the outside, 15 pockets and loops on the inside, and it holds itself open.

About twice the size of the one I have, but the increased size is all vertical, it is still very compact, and this one is so organized it just makes me excited to transfer items into it and to know at a glance exactly where everything is.
