I have 21,000 miles on my Van and just got a SERVICE A due; if 'weirdstuff' is getting a Service B Due message am I missing something? I had the 1st Service A done right at the 10,000 mark and taking my van in on Monday for another Service A; just want to make sure the CA dealer didn't reset my van as if a Service B was done. ??? What should be done.

Had the tires rotated before my trip (SEMA ) so I'm good there; and they always check my alignment when I bring it in; so good there.

I pulled page 11-12 from owners manual and Fuel Filter & Cabin filters seem to be the only added item over the 10k service.

Mercedes Benz did muck around with the service intervals recently, and I'm not sure exactly what the triggers are anymore.

I have the same problem. The Service A was done 8k ago but the dash monitor says Service A in about 3,000 miles. I am pretty sure I need a service B in 3000 miles.

Since I use my '11 Sprinter every day and have 103K on the clock, I change oil every 5K per Mercedes recommendation and all filters every 10 K. I also change the trans fluid every 25K, also per the dealer' rec.

Check along and near your planned route for Freightliner dealers, and for Mercedes dealers that handle Sprinters. You're bound to find one.
I purchased a used unit last year and coming up on the 17k mile mark (Schedule B @20k miles). Are there any recommended dealers in the central-south part of the state of Florida for the non-warranty work besides the dealer? Or is the census to visit the dealer?

I agree with Protaganist's approach....shop around for the best $$. I got 3 written quotes from local dealers, 2 MB and 1 Freightliner. They all were priced differently. Some had an all inclusive $ and some were ala carte for each service item. When I compared what was included vs the cost for the separate components to the recommended 'B' service, I went with the all inclusive quote!

Mine is off too. I had a service done at a yearly interval with a lot less then the 10k miles and it resulted in my Assist being incorrect. My dealer tried to reset it but to no avail. I just have to remember which service I am going in for.

Funny I've never got a service A until now. I think I had 6 service B's in a row and then a Service C.

One thing to watch out for is that if you take the unit in elsewhere that they assemble the pipes properly. I took mine in to a "high end" shop (specializing in foreign cars) and everything was fine until they said that my oil cooler was leaking and wanted $2500. I took it to the dealer and they said all of the pipes where assembled incorrectly and that the seals had been re-used. They replaced the seals and put it together right. They also had to replace the belt as it had oil all over it. I've been now going back to the dealer, since going elsewhere didn't save me any money in the long run. So far the oil cooler has held, but it's still a ticking time bomb.

I've never heard of a Service C. What model is your Sprinter?

I've noticed that my local dealer will update the software whenever there's an update available, without asking me, and regardless of the reason I'm visiting. I didn't mind at the time, but I'm now wondering if the updates reset the service interval.
