Rear Camera/Monitor Not Working

My Pyle rear camera/monitor from factory stopped working on my 2015 AS. The monitor started flickering and now is just blue... I did check connections above the cab light, and that's ok. I read the reviews on the PYLE camera system and it's rated poor..
Has anyone replaced the standard Pyle system in their AS with a different brand? .. I did find the same Pyle camera on Ebay, but the camera is different and mounts on the license plate hold not on the top bracket, from factory..

Our 2011 has a Valor. I don't know if they still make it but I don't recommend it. It has a fisheye view (which I'm guessing most rear views have) so objects are MUCH closer than they appear on monitor. I know some folks have added there own distance lines on the monitor to judge distance more accurately. Resolution is pretty grainy too. Does your Pyle have any warranty left on it?

Suggest you go to high end new car dealers and get referralS to their add on electronics specialists. My Interstate did not come with a backup camera (an absolute necessity IMHO ) so had one installed by the specialist. They knew all the brands positives and negatives and I'm a happy camper. AEW

The camera they use is different from the one that comes with the Pyle. I guess they toss it. I replaced my mirror monitor with a similar mirror-monitor no name brand from eBay, and it is plug compatible with the RCA video jack used in mine. I've had no problems since and it's been three years. I had two Pyle units fail before I just gave up and bought one as it was cheaper ($30) than driving the van to the nearest dealer.
