Just a thought. It really sounds like there's problem w/ the A/C unit itself.

Air conditioners are yet another thing that varies from one Interstate model year to the next— but I may have mis-remembered it slightly; maybe it was only 30°? Anyway, my Coleman rooftop air conditioner cools pretty well, though it's a bit noisy. Who makes yours?

AC Fixed.......Don't ever under estimate the power of persistence. My Wife got us bumped up to today @ 1:00. This is right when the tech that the dealer wanted to look at the issue came back form lunch. We dropped her off and did some pleading and threw some bribes out there (pizza) and the service advisor called @ 3:45 and said DONE....

On generator power we are now @ 12-13 amps and cooling nicely. Pretty stoked this got resolved so quickly. Oh the power of pizza.

Mine is made by Dometic. Wished I could get a 30* drop on mine. Big difference.

I even removed the outside cover to check for any debris blocking the condenser but found none. Pulled the inside cover to see if anything might be blocking the air flow which isn't that great and found the junction box that AS used to make the 120V connections in was just hanging by the wiring right in front of the evaporator air flow. Moved it out of the way but didn't notice any big increase in air flow. Just another example of AS's slipshod workmanship.

I might check out the Coleman. Do you know the model number?

By any chance did they tell you what the problem was?

On the Power Control System gauge, they removed the 4 screws, pulled it out of the cabinet and disconnected both sets of wires to do a "reset". Proceed with caution if you attempt this as I believe one is power and the other is communication so not sure of the shock factor. Seems like there would be another way but this may have been the easiest.

Must be something on the new models. I don't know what the Power System gauge is.

Do you know what brand your A/C is?

It is the gauge that shows if you are on Gen, 30A or 20A power and shows how many amps you are drawing.

My AC is a Dometic Duo Therm.

I think Airstream added the current power monitoring system in 2012. It is called the Power Control System built by Precision Circuits Inc. to monitor the AC loads. See attached brochure and photo of my Airstream Interstate unit.

Maybe in 2013. My 2012 doesn't have it.

Since the 2015 has the Dometic A/C, was wondering what model your Coleman is.

Senior moment strikes again! It's not a Coleman, it's a 13,500BTU Carrier air conditioner. Coleman, Carrier, I knew it was one of those "C" names! As dumb as that makes me feel, I'd have really felt like an idiot if it had been a Dometic after all, though…

Apparently Carrier no longer makes them, either, so I had better make sure I don't scrape mine off with a low-hanging branch any time soon!
