Question: Black Ultraleather or White Ultraleather?

And why do you say so?

I have the white (actually it's more lite beige) and so far it's worked out well and I haul four young grandkids on vacation around the country. I just make it a point to clean it up after each trip and so far still looks like new. ~24K miles.

While I'd be tempted by black, it would be 1) hotter in the summer and 2) darker in the interior. Probably wouldn't have to clean it as frequently tho.

Love the black. Wouldn't have it any other way.

I have not ever regretted getting black. I put 13,000 miles coast to coast in the heat of the summer and not an issue.

Also like the way the black seats look all black, not black plastic with white UL.

It's always a question of personal taste. However the lighter the interior the more spacious it will feel. Given the close quarters of the interior Perception becomes important.

Black because we have 2 young kids and I think/hope they won't show wear as quickly. I'm a new owner so only time will tell.

I live and do most of my travel in the South and Southwest. For that reason I avoid black upholstery and exterior color because of its greater tendency to absorb heat that I am often trying desperately to get rid of. When it is 110° outside the A/C units need all the help they can get to keep the interior tolerable. Also, I strongly agree with nesoutlook's comment about the "sense" of more interior space with the lighter upholstery.

If I lived and mostly traveled north of the Mason/Dixon line I would consider black inside and out simply because it looks so darn dramatic. FWIW I just noticed those recommending black are all from cooler climes and those of us favoring white/beige are from south of the Mason/Dixon line.

I have the beige ultraleather seats and I love them. I don't personally like the look of the black sofa as I think the beige looks classier. As others noted it's potentially cooler and also opens the space up a bit. Ultimately, it's taste so I'd go with the one you like better.

I have the off-white (beige?) ultraleather. When someone put a cut in the front of my passenger-side second-row seat six months ago, I patched it with a large Band-Aid, and no one has ever noticed in all that time! Just try that with the black ultraleather!

I went with the black mainly because it was the newest color at the time and thought it would look good with the onyx interior. I was right. It looks very rich and I get tons of compliments on it. Hope I never have to tape or band aid it. We don't travel with pets or kids and wife is very meticulous so probably will hold up. I also found a place online that makes up custom rugs very reasonably and had some sisal runners made up that match up well with my colors.

My husband and I stopped in at a local RV dealer this afternoon because we noticed they had multiple 2015 Interstates on the lot (I was hoping one would be a Grand Tour EXT, but no such luck). I took pics with my cell phone. Here are those three interiors side by side.

For me, it's not a question of which kind of ultraleather but which total package. My personal favorite was the white / bone ultraleather. It made the Interstate feel more spacious and airy inside. But regardless of whether white or black is chosen, my personal taste suggests that there should be some visual contrast in the interior. The black ultraleather coupled with dark cabinetry was too black-hole-of-Calcutta for me. *Something* should have a light or medium tone to it. So my second favorite was the black with lighter cabinetry.

Caveat to this: I noticed damage on the white ultraleather, and this on a new vehicle with only 20-odd miles on it. It appeared to be a chemical burn of some sort or perhaps a very strong adhesive. Not sure how the lighter color would wear over time.

24K on mine and the bone pleather still looks like new and that's after hauling 4 or 5 grand-kids for most of those miles. I do clean it after each trip tho.

Are you sorry you asked yet?
Everyone has a difference of opinion, you will have to decide for yourself what will work best for you.
