Exclamation Propane tank hose

Recently noticed propane hose sagging under chassis of my 1995 B190. Upon touching it heard hissing and smelled propane. Hose was about to separate, and disaster would have occured! Suggest all older units check condition of this hose under vehicle and replace if necessary. My mobile RV tecnician had a special quality braided hose made here in Tucson. (I don't know by whom.)

I actually just replaced both hoses going from the tanks to the regulator back in the beginning of this season (back in May) because of the hoses being cracked and leaking. They appeared to be the originals from 1975. Then on my last outing...August 1st... I found the main hose going from the regulator to the copper line running underneath leaking. I suppose it probably happened because of all the extra movement replacing the 1st set of hoses on a system that doesn't move hardly at all. I double & tripple checked the entire system for leaks when I finished with the 1st ones. Nothing was leaking. I recommend if you are going to replace 1....replace them all. Order all 3 lines that way there is no hassle trying to find parts at the last minute and you only have to remove your tanks 1 time. Thats my thought if I ever have to do it again. Granted all of you with motorhomes...its a different set up.

Hi
I am about to get into the gas lines on mine 73 Argosy. Do I need to order the lines or can they be made up from stuff I can get from a local propane shop?
Thanks all.

Ron,

We have a number of propane shops that can supply anything we need as far as propane lines and connections. I'd imagine that your can also.

I ordered the hoses from the tanks to the regulator from http://www.vintagetrailersupply.com/ They are out of Montpiler....you should be able to get them right away.

By the way...thats an awesome area up your way. We've gone to the Sandbar and Apple Island several+ times.

Thanks for the info on my propane sys. I'm heading out to look it over in more detail. I will next look over the water situation. By the way I ordered an owners manual. That should be helpful. I also got the interior lights working on battery and today will get the 30 to 15 adapter I need to checking the charging system...
