I had the same loop issue with my original curtain so I had the dealer replace it. The replacement curtain did the same thing so I wound up purchasing an Easy Curtain and I couldn't be more pleased. No loops, just tabs that the side windows roll up against + the Easy Curtains keep the sun off the dash.

I have seen the Easy Curtain postings and like the fact that they protect the dash. I will most likely get something like that after I see what the new one looks like.

Sounds like they changed the curtain design since the 2011s. Mine is supported by the sunvisors and a cord on the rear corners that hooks on a small post. Takes a few minutes to put up but certainly does the job.

May just use the Heatshield next time as it seals out the lite very well.

I think the design is the same as yours Shark, the loops slip over some little clothes hanger hooks behind the side windows. Our problem is the loops keep pulling out of the plastic grommets that they attach to.

Just checked mine and the black elastic loop goes into a black plastic piece that is attached to the shade. Couldn't tell how it was retained but doesn't pull out. Wonder if AS changed design.

My original curtain just slipped over the pointed inside end of the visors while the replacement cutrain slipped all the way onto the visors. I think the loop attachment is the same and were just defective on both of mine. The Easy Curtains took care of that.

We just purchased a used 2005 interstate. It did not come with any privacy curtains for the front. Because we were on a 14 day trek and far from home, I purchased 2 shower curtains (for better blackout) and a expanding spring loaded shower curtain rod. I added a couple magnets to stick the curtain to the sidewall. Total cost was under $30.00. I will add pics later but we have left it up permanently and it take 5 second to block out the front now.
