The Texans’ Chainsaw Massacre continues. It’s addictive. This is vacation for us - hacking through this dense forest to reveal the lake view. “If we just thinned out those trees over there, it’d be so much better...”. But it’s a massive job.

Only about 50 miles up the road from me. Nice shade in your camp ground. Looks like your Interstate was left mostly in the sun, but at least you have a nice reflective cover for your cab area.

I hear ya on the heat and humidity. We're holding off another month before heading North. Somewhere in the eastern US this time.

We took the AI for it's second camping trip. Brought the daughter and dogs this time. Was a little hot and found out that there are a lot of alligators in this lake so we didn't do the water sports we thought we would (Paddleboard, kayak).


Great sunset though.

Not me. Stanley is in for B Service and a new set of shoes after returning from Goliad. I was in Amarillo in July pulling a trailer with 3 motorcycles, 4800 lbs of toys. The Sprinter did great even pulling up to Silverton CO with full water and fuel. Got over 13 MPG and held 35 MPH on the steepest long grades. Enough to gain on other rigs and only 10 under the speed limit! Never threatened to overheat.

NOTSTOCK - Oh, wow! That gotta be nerve wracking to pull such expensive toad with those bikes on the rack. Make sure bikes are triple locked on rack I have a tough enough time relaxing if I have my road bikes on an outside rack, let alone a supercar back there.
