Mainly because their biggest trading partner is Japan, which is also a right-hand drive nation and the source of most of their automobiles.

Finally home but I am upset that I have to park in the street... It seems that the angle of my driveway is too steep...

Thanks! I didn't try that... I will try in the morning.
Also, I feel like my 14.5 is missing a screen door and the front window cover. Do these come with the AI or do I have to buy them?

The front window cover might be stuffed in the cabinet above driver seat - mine was. I don't know about the screen door - you will need to check with dealer. I thought they were only offered on the Grand Tour model.

Unless they quit doing it, you should get a soft side portfolio w/ the MB Owner's Manual, Airstream Interstate Owner's Manual, and the instructions for all of the installed by Airstream equipment.

They don't come with screen doors, at least not the 14.5 Interstates.
You should have a case with a folding front windshield cover and front side window covers.
Congrats on getting her home. Bummer about the driveway though.

Any chance of building a small ramp to lessen the approach onto your driveway? If the road is city property, how about asking them whether they can do anything. You won't know if you don't ask!
The 14.5 models moved away from cab curtains that were of a silly design and introduced shades similar to those from accessory companies.

Suggest you have heavy duty roller/wheels welded to tow hitch frame so you don't damage rear of the AI.. Not very costly and your driveway will probably not be the only place you may drag your rear end.

I agree on rollers added to hitch. I'm planning to add them to mine when it warms up a bit. I added wood blocks but have already ground off two sets already. Also have damaged the lower trim on the back corners. Lots of places where you end up scrapping because of that lower trim that Airstream adds. And don't get me started on that crazy low propane fill panel. That black plastic cover is $80. I ripped mine off in Arizona last year and also snapped off the quick connect fitting. [emoji16]

I think you can make it up that driveway with a little planning. You just need some boards to set down and back up onto. This will lift the back end up just enough and once you are more parallel to your driveway you will be Ok.
Just get a couple 4 foot 2x12s and back up just like you did. Put the 2x12s lengthwise behind each out board rear tire. Slowly back up onto the boards which will raise the rear of your interstate up 1 1/2" and may be enough. If not you can put another board ontop of the first to raise you up 3". From the looks of your pics this would work. Still kind of a PIA.
I have to do the same to get my lowered Viper up on to my carlift. Without 2x10s to drive up onto 1st, the nose would scrape terribly.
Tow truck drivers use the same strategy when pulling a car up onto a flatbed tow truck.

Wouldn't putting the 2X12 under the outer dual put a lot more stress on the lugs than if placed under the inner?

It probably will but be a lot easier to reach. I don't think it will be an issue for the time it will take to back up and get on solid ground again. Others have driven long distances with a flat inner tire.
