When the dealer does the walk-through with you, shoot video of it so you can review it later. Also, during the walk-through everything should be operated three times. Once by the dealer while you watch/video it, once by you while he gives you step-by-step instructions, and once by you without the coaching to make sure you've got it right. If you can't do it right the third time, repeat as necessary. Don't let the dealer rush through anything; remember that you bought it and that means the dealer works for you today, not you working for him. You control the schedule.

Every time the dealer covers a system, make sure you have the manual for that system. It's a lot of manuals and sometimes the set isn't quite complete. A missing manual will come back to haunt you later.

Make sure they cover the Sprinter systems too, not just the house systems.

Make sure they're giving it to you with full fuel and full propane, shore power cable with 15-amp adapter, blue-and-white fresh water hose, RV toilet paper (macerator pumps clog on the regular stuff), and fully charged house and chassis batteries. That's all dealer prep and you've paid for it.

+1 on Protag's tips. Welcome to the world of Interstates. I see you have been on this forum since 2007 so you are not new to Airstreams. I love traveling in my 2013 model and have over 50,000 miles on it now.

Thanks Mike! Yes, we bought our first Airstream 25' Safari in 2007 then last year bought a 30' Flying Cloud. We are keeping the Flying Cloud for family trips, and the Interstate will be for work and the wife and I. I develop commercial real estate and will be taking my first trip next week across southern Missouri. I am looking forward to trying it out! I wish the International would also pull the camper as well.

Congratulations. If you are at a Smiths restaurant, be sure to get pie.
