Anyone know the brand and model number of the over the air TV antenna that’s being installed on newer Interstates? Thanks

The 2018 owners manual indicates they are using the Winegard RoadStar. Copy of info from owners manual attached.

Thanks Boxster. Looking for a small antenna footprint up on the roof to help with reducing solar panel shading. I was going to attach the old one to the A/C shroud like you did but got cold feet when I saw how thin the plastic is. I have visions of it becoming a flying saucer when driving through the Texas panhandle with 70mph winds.

There is another option that would work, the Wineguard Flatwave antenna...

http://www.winegard.com/flatwave

I have one and several similar antennas in my home and have tested one in my Interstate. It worked just as well as the disk on top of my AC unit. There are also other models that are made from clear plastic. Or you could slip it behind the toilet/shower cabinet so it would not block any window. It I was doing it again this is the type of antenna I would do to eliminate the TV antenna on the roof.

FYI, the Winegard Roadstar that AS has been installing for a few years is a very poor OTA antenna.

Unless you are near a urban area you will be lucky to receive any stations.

Conventional antenna performance is related to the physical size of the antenna and directional antennas are better than omni-directional. Several on here have replaced the Airstream-supplied antenna with the King Jack. It is relatively small, amplified, and rotatable. It also has a signal meter built in to assist in pointing it.

Don't give up on mounting on the top of the AC. There may be a metal component under the plastic shroud you could bolt into through the plastic.
