Onyx vs. Light Camel

Looking to purchase a 2012 Airstream Interstate and just wanted to get current owners opinion about the interior color of cabinets. Does the onyx make the interior feel smaller? I read in an article in motorhome that it's probably better to go with the light camel for opening up the space. Although I like the onyx, I am concerned that the already tight space will feel more confining. I also like to have a lot of light streaming during the day and am wondering if the darker onyx will make the interior darker during the day. I'm trying to decide now and any input would be appreciated. Thanks for your help.

I'd go with the light camel, for all the reasons you describe.

The lighter color will be cooler as well.

I have the light camel interior.

The dealer had some with the onyx interior, but when I stepped inside, it felt like a cave. Especially the models that had the full-height wardrobe closet.

I have a 2012 with Onyx interior and love it because it is unique. I'd say it's a matter of personal taste. Look at both and pick the one you like best. The Onyx interior also gives you the lighter countertop.

Same here. I liked the onyx, but went with the camel because it felt roomier and brighter.

For what it's worth, the onyx interior looks much cheaper to me due to reflections.

Could have been phrased better, that's true. I really didn't mean to sound patronizing, but I surely did, didn't I? Everybody has bad day once in a while. My rhetorical question is, why is it that I am plagued with so darned many of them?

Apologies to UKDUDE. Ignore my previous welcome post, and once again, welcome to the AirForums! Glad to have you with us.
