For the last three years I've been the only Interstate owner in my two WBCCI units (Greater New Orleans Unit #133; Louisiana Unit #50). It wasn't until I attended the Region 6 rally last October that I met a fellow Interstate owner face-to-face!

No one in either unit— or the entirety of Region 6 for that matter— has ever made me feel left out because my Airstreram is made of fine German steel and not aluminum. In fact, there's more of a "red-headed stepchild" attitude here on the AirForums than in WBCCI! But even then, it's not at all typical here either, just a few hidebound purists.

Oh, before I forget, at my first meeting with folks from WBCCI, there was this one elderly lady who heard "International" when I said "Interstate" which led to some confusion later on, but it was a harmless mistake!

Happy New Year!
Come join the New England Unit on May 1-3 for the Chilly Man Rally IX. It's a great group of people from Canada down to NJ. We always have a large turnout with about 30 rigs including a few with Interstates. Please come, we'd love to meet you! We haven't decided yet whether to bring our Interstate or 34 Classic. Hope to see you there.

Hi - I just joined WBCCI and the NE chapter and plan on attending the Chilly Man Rally (it will be our first one). I hope you bring your new Interstate. Being a newbie (my Interstate was basically purchased and parked for the winter) and never having really camped out (the Girl Scout thing sooooo many years ago really doesn't count) I have LOTS of questions. I look forward to meeting everyone.

Hey that's terrific! Look forward to seeing you at the Chilly Man Rally. Feel free to contact us before the rally with any questions you may have regarding what to bring, etc.

As evidenced by the "Interstates Spotted" thread, where someone recently "spotted" an Interstate that was just a Sprinter van, and not any kind of RV at all, let alone an Interstate.

Until and unless Interstates become an icon, don't expect to see a whole lot of Interstate merchandise. Unless of course you're something of an artist, and decide to make your own. In which case you may find yourself receiving commissions to make some for the rest of us!
I see'em all the time, Pro. They keep bringing things to me house!

Well, I have to report Airstream may have heard us complain and now the store has 2 items for Interstate owners (YES, there are 2)!!!

One is a key tag, the other is a travel mug!!! They are kidding right... I'm disappointed. Should I feel insulted?

Will the travel mugs fit those small-diameter cup holders on the dashboard? Or fit in the really shallow pull-out cup holder in the center dash and stay put without falling out while you drive? If so, they'd be worth buying, because I have yet to find a travel mug that will do either one.

They look just like the ones I use in mine, so if they are, then yes they'll fit both places. Also the ones low down on the doors.

I found that by adjusting the holder on the pull-out one w/ the cup in it and then removing the cup and tightening one more click, that the cup fits nice and snug. YMMV

I also saw an Interstate money clip.

It's the Airstream RV that is capable of traveling between states.

You should license the Airstream Store to sell those.
