Mounting 12VDC receptacles

So I am looking to add two 12 VDC receptacles near the rear bed that can be easily use with the bed all made up. Both the wife and I like to use the iPads to read or watch a moive before sleep and it would be a good time to recharge as well. I think I would like to puth them either under the cabinets jjust aft of the speakers or under the cabinet along the back between the two lights. My quesion is does any one know how to get into those aluminum chases ?

Open the cabinets and remove the screws on the bottom of the shelf. They are black so they're hard to see, but look carefully and they are there. There are about 3 or 4 screws depending on the length of the aluminum cover.

You can see one of the 4 screws where my thumb is in the picture below. There should be 4 if these, in addition to the silver screws you mentioned (I've never removed the rear aluminum piece, and the others don't have the silver screws).

I'm planning to do the same thing but in a different model. Wires that I had planned to tap into weren't a full 12v when I tested them with a volt meter. I suspect the LED lights on the circuit don't require a full 12v. So I have to consider a different location to get the source of the power. A wall mounted 12v outlet is at the foot of the bed in my rear corner bed layout. But my complex OCD just might flare up if I have to look at a cord dangling down the wall.

I found a slick doo-hickey at Amazon that will be a part of the project. Two new Lightning charge cords are in order, too. . .
