Motorized door?

Anyone know if it's possible to get the sliding door motorized on the 2014.5?

I've spent the last few months researching this issue and have yet to find a solution. The main deterrent to what's available is that the ones I've found require mounting space on the inside wall just aft of the opening which is blocked by the bathroom module. I'm still working with one company that's looking for a solution for RV conversion companies. If one is found, it will not be cheap as the ones that I've found so far run about $2,500-$3,500. And then you have to get it installed.

My Sprinter dealer says that I'd have to go to a third-party up-fitter if I wanted any mods beyond what Airstream already did.

I've been in contact w/ the local one (Chalmers Automotive) and they are currently looking for a new supplier as the previous unit had issues.

I noticed that the new Airstream Autobahn luxury Sprinter is reported to have a motorized sliding door. Not sure if they are buying it that way from Mercedes or add it during conversion. Might be worth a check with Airstream factory to see if they could add it.

Power shades would be nice. Heck, blackout shades would be nice too. The night mode is a joke.

Protag, I checked with my local guy and he said they don't have anything.
Doing some searches, there are people who've done it to sprinters:

My error. Thought I read they had power sliding door in a magazine article. Clearly they don't since it's not mentioned in brochure.
