Microwave Rattling

On my interstate, should the microwave be rattling while I'm driving? If so and it's just a design flaw, anyone have any tips for stopping the rattling?

Mine no longer rattles after removing the metal 3-legged convection stand and placing a dishcloth under the rotating glass tray when traveling.

Mine rattles, but only when I'm going 40-45 mph. The rattle seems to be inside. I'll have to disassemble to figure it out. Removing the tray and convection stand did nothing.

There's a good chance that if you'll remove a couple of drawers and look around the sides and back of the micro that there is something rattling against it such as wiring, cable or the copper propane line. The other problem is that Airstream installed the micro in the cabinet with no cushion under it at all, it sits directly on the hard wooden surface. I went to Lowes and picked up a pack of rubber cushions (4) with an adhesive back made for furniture legs, maybe two and a half inches in diameter and 1/4 in. thick . Place them under the micro and it will be much quieter. it its easy to remove by removing the screws around the front. I recently discovered another culprit, it sounded like the glass dish in the micro but it turned out to be a heat shield rattling against the exhaust pipe for the heater. It very elusive and would only rattle when hitting a good size bump. This thing has had more rattles than I could have imagined but after several months I think I have fixed them all... for now anyway.

On the exterior of the van there is an exhaust pipe mounted on the side where the exhaust for the heater exits, it's held in place with two screws. If removed you will see a metal box approx. 4"x 2" attached. The round exhaust pipe from the heater runs through or inside this heat shield. On mine the rectangular heat shield was too close to the exhaust pipe and would clang against each other. You can try and correct it by removing the exterior exhaust cover and try to spread the opening of the heat shield a little but You would probably be better off to work on it from the inside where you might be able recreate the noise and can get a better visual on what's going on.
