Hi all. I tried searching the forums but clearly my search abilities are challenged. I can’t be the first one to consider taking a 2016 airstream interstate to Baja. And recommendations on how to deal with lack of ULSD in Mexico ? Thanks. Cameron.

Most reports from northern Mexico indicate that all the fuel is actually low sulfur. Apparently it all comes out of the same refineries regardless of the side of the boarder you are on. The key is to bring along a good inventory of DEF since that may be a bit hard to find ....
Simple answer is still that all the stations in northern Mexico ( which included Baja) get their fuel from the same refineries as the southern US. The only place you *might* find the bad stuff is much further south. Once you get close to or cross the southern boarder of Mexico .... yikes .....

To clarify that the question is being answered correctly please note there is a difference between low sulfur diesel and ultra low sulfur diesel.
Low sulfur diesel has not been a problem there, it as been access to ultra low sulfur diesel.
The terms are not interchangeable for modern diesels.

Experience from the past and directly related to boating - many also recommend using a "baja filter" when filling your tank. It gives you a little extra safety margin should there be something not totally right with the fuel you are being provided.
