Max fan

I've been running the Maxfan all day , plugged into shore power, now I can't get it to stay on. I bought this unit used and previous owner kept all of the original owners/operating manuals. So this may be operator error, I realize that these are thermostatically controlled, so not sure I found how to run it manually. This is 2015 grand tour. Sure have had my share of buggy problem. First the fridge, then the solar panel, now the Maxfan. Almost wishing I'd went with the Winnebago era now.

I'm not sure which model you have but if it is set to auto the fan will stop when the temperature set point is reached. Try jacking up the set point

The MaxxAir fan on my 2013 Interstate has a fixed auto set point of 79degF that can't be adjusted. It is in auto mode when the LED light is on. Turning it on manually does not turn on the light, but you can then adjust the fan speed with the +/- buttons.

Here is image of fan control buttons from the manual. When in auto mode you have to use the On/Off button to stop the auto mode and then press that button again to start the manual mode. It's not exactly intuitive as one would think that toggling the Auto button would start and stop the Auto mode.

I have the same Maxxfan, and it's my understanding that the plus and minus buttons raise and lower the temperature settings rather than the speed. Hold down the Auto button to set the default back to 78F.

Sort of. If you hold down the auto button, the LED lights up to indicate it's on auto. The arrows then control temperature from the default value of 78.

However, if you were to hit the power button to turn the fan off, then hit the power button again to turn the fan on, it will be in manual mode, and the LED will not be lit. In that case, the arrows control fan speed, not temperature.

I stand corrected. I didn't know you could adjust the auto temp. Learn something new every day. 😀
