Macerator

Hi, experts!!

We have a 2013 extended, and our macerator is leaking. The model number on the macerator is: Flojet 18550300C.

This particular model number doesn't come up online on eBay or Amazon.

Does anyone know if Flojet model number 18550000A will work as a replacement?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Same pump. Absolutely identical. Xylem Flow Control is the parent company for both Flojet and Jabsco. The "C" suffix indicates a pump sold by Xylem. The "A" suffix indicates a pump sold by Flojet.

As Protag pointed out it is the same pump, but you probably don't need to replace it if you plan a DIY repair. I have the very same Interstate model and while recently working on my sewage plumbing system I discovered the macerator pump had two broken brass studs holding it together. I found you can get replacement parts for this pump from many sources on-line.

These older macerator pumps had brass bolts holding it together. A few years ago they upgraded to these stainless steel bolts.

When you disassemble the pump the paper gasket with likely be damaged and must be replaced. Here is the gasket parts you will need.

If you want to also replace the guts fo the pump this kit will do the trick and includes the gaskets.

So rather than spend $150+ on a new pump you can repair it for as little as $31.

I’ve attached the basic tech data on the pump with an exploded parts diagram.

There is also this excellent video on YouTube on repairing the pump
Good Luck,
