I removed the 11" long flexible hose at the inlet of the macerator and found the macerator impeller was packed with pieces of silicone rubber. Apparently they use silicone to assemble various fittings and some of it flakes off and stopped at the impeller. I have dumped grey and black tanks about 12 times each. I couldn't tell that the pump flowed less and less over time - but all the silicone can't be good for it in the long run. I had to remove the impeller to remove all the silicone (large flat blade screwdriver to keep the shaft from turning while using a socket on the impeller nut). You may want to check yours before the pump is damaged - especially if it doesn't get damaged until after the warranty has expired
