Lug nut solution

After searching for weeks for a suitable lug nut for the Sprinter I believe I've finally found them. I ordered an acorn style nut with a washer designed to fit it. The lug nuts are Gorilla brand heat treated and the washers are Gorilla brand as well. I found the at a company called Brandsport in Eugene Oregon. I dealt with Eric there who was very helpful in working with me to come up with a solution. The lug nut part # is GRLA-91148HT The washer part no. is GRLA-77916 Eric's email address is eric@brandsport.com No more dealing with those caps falling off. I found one the other day in my driveway that had been run over

Should that washer number be 79916? Could not locate the 77916 on the website.

Great find - thanks for this info. How much do they cost? Need 24 to replace all the stock lug nuts.

A small piece of masking tape on a couple of the lug nut flats will keep them from coming off. The PO lost two in 4K mi and I've lost none in 18K mi.

I've lost none in 32,000 plus miles, but I'm still interested in a cleaner look. However at $3 a pop with shipping it will be $72 or more to replace all 24. Not sure it is worth it since mine seem to be staying on fine. I always take them off myself, with a special lug nut cap wrench, when having any work done that involves removing the wheels.

More like $104 + shipping w/ the washers.

But they do look nice.

I installed the new lug nuts and washers today, they fit perfectly. I've attached a couple of pictures, probably could've taken a closer shot but they look great.

Is it just the angle or do they really stick out a lot farther than the stock ones?

They do stick out approx. 1/4" farther. They are a little smaller in diameter than the stainless caps which tends to make them look longer also. I think they look good installed. I like the look of the caps as well but once I made the second trip to the tire shop I couldn't keep them on any longer and I had no intention of continuously replacing them.

I suspect the tire shop was removing your lug nuts w/ the caps still on.

They do look good. It's probably the extra washer that makes them look longer than than the 1/4".
