Longest trip in your Interstate?

What is the longest trip you've done in your Interstate, in terms of TIME, not distance?

Most of our trips have been about ten days to two weeks.

We did a month last fall. Circumnavigated the country. Great experience and never tired of the van.

Two weeks is about it for us. We have too much yard work to keep up with to go any longer than that.

Hi Maggie! I had a feeling you might "win" this one! I knew you and Doug did some long trips!

Glad to know you never got tired of the van.

Longest we've done (since November purchase) is 6 or 7 days. So, wondering how we'll do on a much longer trip of 3+ months. Guess I'll find out soon.

My wife and I have two views of a vacation. To me the vacation is the journey, the towns we see, the local cafes, the scenery we pass through. For my wife the whole point of travel is the destination and being there. So we compromise. She tolerates my finding all the two lane back roads and never going both ways on the same route. In turn I am willing to stay put at one location for up to five days (maybe more if the trout are biting). So those are the bookends that contain our travels. Our longest trip so far has been 9 days. A longer trip was planned but forest fire evacuations in Southern Colorado intervened. This summer our longest trip will be 9 or 10 days depending on the trout and weather. Early next fall there is the possibility of a two week or a little more expedition into Northern New England.

We had the time of our lives.

Couldn't have been happier.

Buying this Interstate was one of the best decisions we ever made. Taking an early retirement was another.

9 days, 8 nights. That's the longest I've had consecutive time off since I bought mine.

I suppose I could have done 9 days, 9 nights, if I had stayed somewhere close enough to drive after work on the Friday before, but noooo, I had to go to a campground a 10-hour drive away.

Two months (January/February) from Ocean City, Md to the Florida Keys. Stayed the entire time in the van. The more we use this vehicle the more we love it.

Funny, I read that question a lot differently. My answer is 14 hours (about 850 miles). My personal daily limit is about 16 in any vehicle, just have not had the occasion to run the AI that long at one stint yet, though it will be a pleasure to do so compared to the sporty cars I've always used for such journeys in the past. Always nice to have your own clean facilities along with you and a place for quick nap if you get bleary eyed. Not to mention a fridge full of caffeinated beverages and a pantry full of snacks.

That fact alone is enough to convince my wife the Interstate is worth all that we paid for it.
