That’s very sweet of you, and I appreciate it, but I don’t feel it is necessary and we don’t want to drive the sales guy ‘round the bend.

I have reached out to an inspector there, but haven’t yet heard back. Hittenstiehl recommends using him, if he is available, so I will.

I’m going to have the sales guy on Monday email me the service workup they did there, confirming the state of things and that everything is in good operating condition.

They are a reputable service center, with very good reviews...

So here is another view of the floor. Straight down. Not soft and not really ripply to the hand. When you zoom in you can see the perifial and it looks like a water mark but not sure. Click image for larger version

She sent me about 50 photos, of the interior from different angles, the outside, the engine, batteries, underneath, etc., and there are 4 or so of the roof...which looks unblemished tho I think the caulk looks old and should be replaced.

Going to talk to the sales guy again on Monday. Their service department went over everything before they agreed to sell it, and there is a writeup of that I have asked him to email to me.

I’m hopeful this will work out.

The interior is a different layout and the colors are different, but it is otherwise exactly what I want in that it is an older model and all manual.

There’s also this one in Mesa, an 06, 77,000+Miles, also looks in great condition...I called these folks this am but have heard nothing back.

May check with them again on Monday, just to see what they have to say.

That rear bath is the same colour combo as mine.
Looks nice.

Interestingly my 2006 had the Airstream 75th anaversary emblem, but I dont’ See it on this one.

Good luck!

I like the mid bath best, both the rear doors opening and bed in the rear, but I’ve had that and don’t have to have it again.

I don’t mind the layout of the 07, and the bed is in the rear but the configuration different...tho that is okay.

I have to say I like the interior colors of the 06 better, because it’s what I had.

There’s not much in the way of older models out there, is the truth.

I'm late to the party on this thread, but here's another suggestion for you:

Feel free to PM LB_3 or I if you get down to the wire on any unit and need to confirm certain conditions. A whole hell of a lot can be accomplished efficiently by using Facetime.

In particular, pay very close attention to the plumbing - that's one of our areas of expertise. The T1N plumbing issues are so model-specific that they can be missed by an inspector (our inspector took hundreds of bucks from us and totally missed everything).

To be worthwhile, though, the person holding the phone for the Facetime session would need to be willing to crawl under the chassis in order to point the phone at very specific areas. None of this rubber-stamping stuff for us.

Uncorrected plumbing problems in the T1N have a street repair price of about $2,500, according to other people who have posted about them historically.

Thanks, IB.

Buying an older unit, I don’t so much expect perfection as I do honest disclosure of any existing issue.

I have pictures of the underneath, would you like to take a look at them? Everything looks a bit dusty under there, but I see no rust nor obvious flaws.

If you do, perhaps pm me your email address, and I will forward the emails containing those pictures to you. I could post them, but there are about a dozen.

If you found a problem, we could post that and you could explain what you found.

Going to have the salesman on the 07 do a FaceTime with me on Monday, have him turn everything on and off and show me that it works, and will do the same with the 06 once I reach a human being.

Hittenstiehl already discovered that the outdoor shower is missing the entire length of its hose and sprayer head, which could have been due to a freeze there at some point, or it may have just worn out. I know that ours has been replaced once.

Or outdoor shower could have been detached during winterization and purposefully not reattached. We do this as we don’t use it. This way it won’t be used unknowingly and then missed during winterization.

Ahhh, that’s a possibility, tho it doesn’t seem to be inside anywhere.

I rarely used mine, but for the occasional bathing of Lily after she rolled in duck or rabbit poop.

Before you do the FaceTime walkthrough, send them these photos and let them know you want to see the grey tank fittings:

Where are the wet bath and vent line fittings located?

I will forward the pictures, and thanks for looking at them.

Feel free to post here the picture and narrative of anything that concerns you.
