Much appreciated. Didn't know they had a navigation manual. Then again, since I already had a portable Garmin Nüvi, I figured out that they worked the same. All I had to figure out was how to disable the interlock that prevented input while the vehicle was in motion. Problem is, I can't remember exactly how I did it; somewhere in the "Settings" menu, or maybe the "Tools" menu…

For the record, I don't recommend the driver trying to enter waypoints while the vehicle is in motion, but it seems silly for a front-seat passenger to have to wait until the vehicle stops to enter waypoints.

I just upgraded thee firmware on my DNX7190HD using a 32GB Kingston drive and it worked perfectly. I suspect your problem may have been the device you were using.

FYI the 7190HD upgrades are in the 2012 firmware directory, not the 2013. The current firmware version for the 7190HD is 1.11. The update instructions are found here. NOTE: during the installation there is a warning the update may take 2 or 3 minutes. In my case it took 20+ minutes. This is definitely a case where patience is a virtue.

Trying to ground the park wire but can't find a green wire on my DNX890HD.

I feel stupid because the videos show it bright as day!

Here is pic of harness.

Also. Steering wheel only controls volume, Mercedes manual shows it controlling track, channel etc

Also. I have no functions available under OEM. Should I?

Thanks.

It's the light green wire. Here's a picture of mine and where I grounded it:

Mercedes manual shows controlling other functions from the steering wheel buttons because that's for the original Mercedes sound system, not the Kenwood head unit.

Mine only controls the volume too. The manual is for the factory radio.

Ugh. Afraid of that. What about OEM controls? Are any available in the unit?

On kenwood menu there is an OEM function but nothing there is available. All items are greyscale and can't be selected.

Mine is a DNX7190HD but it should be the same shade of light green. What shade of green wire is in the videos you've been watching?

Yours is same as video, but if you look at my picture, there isn't a light green wire....
