Kenwood DNX 7180 Screen Won't Power UP

I have a 2013 Airstream Interstate with Kenwood DNX 7180. When I press the power button of the Kenwood, the screen with their logo comes on. But, it doesn't bring up the menu with the different bubbles showing options. In stead, it goes dark and then goes back on. It sounds like it is in continuous "booting" loop. I called Kenwood and we tried to reset with the bottom left upside down triangle. But, that didn't work. They said that I'd have to remove the unit and mail to Kenwood Service Center in City of Industry. Has anyone had this problem? Any suggestions on getting it rebooted without removal? If I have to remove the unit, how do I do it? Thx.

I haven't had that problem, but the radio is fairly easy to remove.
1. Open the top compartment door.
2. Carefully pull the trim piece surrounding the radio/AC control/button array towards you (pulling on the top portion first making sure you don't pull the thin cover off, then make your way down - see 1st pic below).
3. Then the remove 4 star screws (you'll need a T25 bit - see 2nd pic below).
