Has anyone figured out how to attach kayaks to the Interstate? I have a couple 10' ones I'd like to attach maybe to the back doors or something other than a trailer if possible. I think the roof is too crowded & difficult to get to, so that's probably out.

Check out this link, for a Thule Hullivator mounted on a Roadtrek van. If Roadtrek can do it, Airstream should be able as well. Carrying a kayak up there on the driver's side might even balance out the wind resistance from the awning tube on the passenger side.
Boxster, that trailer looks cool. But to put 2 $300 kayaks in a $2,000 trailer seems like overkill. I'm gonna see where I can attach bungees tomorrow and see if that'll work.

Nealrap,
I don't recommend bungees. They aren't secure enough, particularly when your boats are exposed to wind buffeting. Take a look at NRS tie down straps. They are flat woven webbing with cam buckles. You might be able to wrap them around the doors (I haven't tried this).
I speak from (many!) experiences: it's no fun to lose boats off your vehicle!
