We saw one yesterday afternoon on the off ramp from the Ohio Turnpike, Exit 180. He took the first exit from Ohio 8 southbound, before we could catch up. No picture - no point.

Interstate spotted thread

Wow, I saw 2 AIs on my way up to the Monterey Historics at Laguna Seca this week. Both were black and were either 2014.5 or 2015. One was a non Ext version headed north on the 101 near Paso Robles and the other one had a sat dome in front of the fan and was headed North on Interstate 5 near Lost Hills. Anyone else here at the Historics?

Early afternoon August 15 on US 287 between Clarendon and Hedley I passed a Silver Gray Airstream Insterstate headed toward Amarillo, Texas. I was in the Silver AI going the other direction pulling a black VW GTI toad. I was looking for the roadside peach stand and almost did not see the other AI until it was past. Good looking unit!

3 pm EST I passed a white Interstate on I80/I90 going east bound in Indiana shortly before the Indiana/Ohio border I was going west bound. It pulled a small trailer. About 10 minutes later I saw a airstream trailer the only 2 airstreams I saw on our 6 day Chicago to Gettysburg trip.

Silver AI on highway 101 just north of Bandon, Oregon about 9:30 a.m. Aug. 20. Had hitch carrier. Couldn't catch license plate state.

Kate... Sorry for the delay responding. We considered keeping the Bambi but eventually decided against it so we could tow a small trailer with our motorcycles instead. Have a great time on those long excursions. The AI could easily handle a Bambi.

White one headed north on Hwy 101 just north of Santa Rosa. We were heading south in the convertible on a perfect northern California Sunday in the wine country.

I can't easily identify Interstates, because the newer models don't have the AIRSTREAM across the front, like ours does.

Unless I can see the Roadtrek or Pleasureway logo, I don't know one from the other.

Hard to crane my neck and look, these days, as I am the driver as well as navigator.

I just ran into this website. My Airstream Interstate was the only representative at the 2014 Overland Expo West (scroll down on the website for the pic) 😃🚐

Really sorry I didn't attend, especially since it's maybe no more than 50 miles from home.

I'll meet you there next March 😃 I want to go back because the owner of Global Expedition Vehicles ordered an AWD Sprinter and will be converting it into an Expedition Vehicle. He said it should be ready by Nov 2014.
