Yesterday was driving north from Phoenix on the I-17 and spotted a white non-EXT apparently broken down on the south lane - I could see a truck parked behind it. Hope they were able to be on their way.

We saw a white 2009 Interstate (Ontario, I think)
Fort Stevens, OR - lot near the old boat wreck.

Spotted a silver AI in Lantana TX. on my morning walk. Not sure if they were visiting or live out this way.

Spotted on the streets of Telluride over the holidays. Ours was parked in the garage up the hill in Mountain Village. Three of us out playing in the snow at the same time sure seems unlikely but there we were!

Our twin (on the outside at least)

We spent 4 days at Brazos Bend State Park (TX) this week. The second day, we noticed our twin parked nearby. We later saw them at the dump station and pulled in to chat.

They live in the Houston area and visit the park frequently. They did not like making up the bed, so they removed the couch and rear side chairs and permanently installed a queen bed.

Seems pretty inconvenient with difficult access to all of the rear storage, but they seemed to love their rig. They have been owners for 2 years.

I'm curious as to what year their rig was. Also, I've heard of people doing this with Interstates but I've never seen a pic of a final result. I'm interested in how high they raised their resulting bed.

You had a good week for Brazos Bend last week. I haven't been there since April 2016, which was shortly before our latest round of floods. I've wondered what condition the park is in now.

Here's a pic I took on that last trip. I titled it, "Here, you take the dog while I get this shot", which is what I said to my husband at the time.

I think they said their rig was a 2014. At least, they said they had it for 2 years.

The park is in great shape. No evidence of the flood except the high water mark on the trees in Red Buckeye Loop where we were camped. There was about 4' of water in that area.

Yesterday February 12, we saw a late model Silver AI traveling east on Hwy 121 in Sonoma county. We will be leaving next week for a month in the deserts of So. Cal. and Arizona.

Admirers

I stopped in Columbus, TX last week for diesel and had a flock of admirers asking questions while I filled up. I used to get that some times when my Classic 28 was new, but this surprised me. These folks just could not believe it was an Airstream since it had the Mercedes star. One asked whether I had added the Airstream name myself.

Your anecdote reminded me of the time when my husband and I were parked at the Caprock Canyons State Park visitor's center in Quitaque, Texas (and I bet there's virtually nobody who can pronounce that place name without looking it up).

We were having solar overcharging issues on the old Lifeline battery, and so we were there for perhaps an hour as my husband fiddled with it. It was warm, so the flap windows were all open. Every time another visitor would pass our rig, we'd hear their unfiltered comments because they didn't know we were still in there. One guy strode past repeating, "Airstream... Dodge... Airstream... Dodge..." like he could not wrap his mind around those two names being on the same vehicle. It was really hard not to burst out into a roaring laugh, which would have been impolite.
