Email sent. I believe one of those would look good in our I-3500, also.

I wouldn't mind having one of those, but for one problem— headroom. I barely have any clearance over my poor bald noggin in the shower as it is, and don't want to lose the little I have by standing on a platform.

I will check thickness of it, but I do know that with the large recess in the floor it hardly seemed to take up any space.

My problem was the opposite. I guess you could say I'm a bit vertically challenged. When I sat on the commode my feet had a bit of a hard time reaching the floor.

Did you ever find any P/N for the exhaust tip?

Unless teak wood is real expensive, I'm in the wrong business. I guess the screws are st-st.

Edit: Forgot to mention that I finally found some polished st-st grill bar covers like the new models come with. Also put the new seat-belts in from Northern Tool. Was able to use one of their coupons, so the cost was very reasonable.

Next add-on is one of those plug-in outlets that has several USB outlets for charging all of the iCrap that my offspring and grand-offspring like to use.

Also attached (double-sided foam tape) a piece of molding to the bathroom wall extension to hold it out full-time. Just got tired of it and the friction catches wouldn't hold it out when underway. Can always revert back by simply removing the trim piece.

Working on it. Left a message, hopefully hear back soon.

#1 teak is not spruce nor pine, so check your prices.

#2 maybe you are in the wrong business, and maybe I am too, I only mark up to cover shipping and my time to go pick them up and ship them out. I actually do something else for a living and just thought I'd offer these for people that would like a quality product like I found.

They are custom made one at a time ( by hand the OLD fashioned way) and also please notice there is no tax and shipping is included.

My mistake. I thought you were making them.

Are the screws st-st?

I happened to see this and thought someone might benefit from it. It is a 16 inch - no blind spot rear view mirror.

Drive Safer With The 16-Inch 'No Blind Spot' Rear View Mirror

Megan Willett | Feb. 26, 2013, 1:14 PM | 1,948 | 7

This is The No Blind Spot Rear View Mirror.
Why We Love It: This 16-inch mirror eliminates your blind spots with a 180-degree field of view — for reference, your ordinary car mirror only gives you 52 degrees. The size of the mirror allows you to see adjacent vehicles until they are visible in your peripheral vision, and it also reduces headlight glare by 50 percent.
The No Blind Spot Rear View Mirror is used by police officers and professional racecar drivers to eliminate blind spots, and offers a distortion-free reflection across a five-lane highway. It attaches easily by clamping to your existing rear view mirror, and weighs only 10 ounces.

Hammacher Schlemmer

Where To Buy: Available through Amazon and Hammacher Schlemmer.
Cost: $49.95.

With the existing outside mirrors (4) and the rear camera, I don't have any blind spot.

Won't help in an Interstate. You'd have to remove the rearview camera monitor to mount it, and it would only give you a panoramic view of the Interstate's interior. Which might be handy if you're traveling with kids and want to keep an eye on them while driving, but otherwise…

Besides, as 73shark mentioned, with large flat mirrors and convex mirrors on both sides and properly adjusted, plus a rearview camera with a fisheye lens, there really is no blind spot at all on an Interstate. By the time a vehicle disappears from the edge of the camera monitor, he's already visible in one of the siee mirrors, and by the time the vehicle disappears from the mirrors, he's visible out the window.

Removed a portion of the expandable part of bathroom wall so that toilet seat can now be raised without having to open this extension.

The panel is just flush now and you don't have to go through a bunch of rigaramoris to use the bathroom.

Another great feature is that since the panel is still mounted on the piano hinges and not restricted to opening only 5", you can actually swing it out for ease of cleaning or airing out.
Just wanted to post picture of modification

Mods

I have made the following modifications to my 2011 Interstate (not in any particular order):

1. Added a second switch to the control panel inside to turn off/on the propane valve without having to exit the van.

2. Removed the supports in the bath swinging door to make it possible to use the toilet without opening the slide out door, which is now closed for good. I guess the engineers at Airstream have huge shoulders. I don't.

3. Changed out the rearview monitor for a different brand at my cost after having two fail under warranty.

4. Added wiring to be able to use a 80 watt folding solar panel by plugging in at the rear bumper to the controller when boon docking.

5. Added Kenwood Nav/Audio unit (same as in the new models). At the same time, ran audio from TV out to the Kenwood unit to be able to play TV audio over the rear and front speakers. Also connected the HDMI cable hidden in the panel behind the wardrobe to a Sat receiver in the overhead. Installed a y-connector so video from rear camera is displayed when in reverse on Kenwood for a bigger view.

6. Added a remote start system/alarm by Drone.

7. Added a Blackvue dash-cam.

8. Added a "Trik-L-Start" battery maintainer.

9. Added tinted drivers and passenger side windows.

10. Added external wifi and cellular antennas and replaced plastic entry on roof with aluminum entry at the same time.

11. Added Pepwave "Mini-Surf" wifi as WAN device and Cradlepoint 4G/LTE router for WIFI on the road which are connected to the external antennas.

I think that's it.

Sounds like you really have personalized it.

Did your 2011 come w/ the Kenwood unit? Is it the Nav unit?

It is the Nav unit, model DNX6190HD, same as the one AS is now installing as standard equipment in the new Interstates.

I did the exact same thing. I found that I needed a small support bracket linking the panel to the frame to keep it from rattling or squeaking while moving down the road.
