Interstate key not working-HELP!

Hi all, I have been unable to use my AI for 5 months now. It was in the shop for body work during part of that time. This is my first chance to check on it and everything appears to
Be working except the ignition! And I don’t mean the battery is dead because the key moves slightly. When battery is dead key usually moves but engine doesnt turn.

If it were me....I’d try this.

1)Remove key from ignition, and wait a minute.

2)Disconnect the power cable down by the accelerator pedal, wait a few minutes.

3)Put key back in the ignition, then reattach the power cable.

This gives the system a chance to recognize the key again.

This may be a dumb question, but is there any possibility you drove it to the shop with your primary key and left them your second key? Then picked it up with your primary key and they mixed up your second key with another customer's and that is the one that does not work?

If the key fob and key unlock the doors, please disregard the above.
