Interstate house battery change

Is there a 'reasonably' easy way to swap out the house batteries without removing the seat assembly on an 03?

Thanks,

Scott

seat removal

Removing the seat takes about 5 minutes. Anything else I could imagine would end up being much more work.

That's a huge relief! I figured it couldn't be a monumental task, but I haven't had a chance to really look at it yet.

Thanks,

Scott

Just to be clear: You don't remove the entire seat assembly--just unbolt the bottom cushion from the frame.

I'm going to get around to that this evening. I took a look at the whole thing last nite and I figured that was going to be the solution.

Thanks again,

Scott

I was topping off the battery in my '07 yesterday (see related thread) and would up unbolting the upperhalf of the assembly. Getting it back in, aligned, and getting the spring back on was a major pain.

How do you remove just the seat cushion? I looked hard, and even tried removing the small Torx screws along the sides, but couldn't figure it out. Suggestions welcome!

Thanks,
Pat
