Interstate Grand Tour EXT Twin Floor Plan

I see that Airstream now offers the Interstate Grand Tour with a Twin Bed floor plan. Wow, does that look nice. Has anyone seen one?? Sure would like to hear some feedback on it. This is what I have been looking for; All of the amenities of the Interstate Grand Tour, and comfy twin beds to boot. I hate couch conversions.

I will have 6 people in my ext lounge tomorrow so wouldn't work for me. That's why Airstream makes the lounge and the twin models.

Different strokes for different folks.

I dig the twin grand tour option too. Here are a couple videos that help show it off a bit more.

As far as I can tell no one has posted an in depth look at this model and even if they did it would likely be from a dealer. I'd love to get an owners perspective.

Great package for two people traveling. But I routinely have seven, sometimes eight in ours.

Didn't see the generator exhaust in the video.

I have the 8 passenger Interstate and thought about switching to the twin bed version but changed my mind when I saw how narrow the beds were. To roll over you have to elbow yourself up before you turn. So unless you're skinny, you might think about staying with the reclining couch. I put a 3 inch memory foam cover down when the couch is reclined and it's comfy. My biggest complaint is not having the sliding screen door like the Grand Tour has.

We picked ours up three weeks ago. Love it! It's our new tiny house. Only annoyance is making commercial sized sheets work. It drives like a dream!

That's why we use lightweight sleeping bags.

On our 1975 20ft Argosy MH, even though we have 'made to shape' bedding from AB Lifestyles, and started with lightweight sleeping bags, we pretty quickly change to

1) Get a regular full sheet, folding it in half length ways
2) Sew the seem about half way up the side
3) Measure 18" up the bottom
4) Sew across the measured line
5) Cut the lower 18" off
6) Turn inside-out and you have a perfect 'sheet' sleeping bag.

Add a twin blanket and you are set. In the morning we fold the sheet sleeping bag and insert in the pillow case sham (with the pillow), fold the blanket insert in the second sham, this leave the AB Lifestyles covers for day use (our twins double as a dinette).
