Interstate Dump Hose Replacement

After much searching, I have determined (I think) that the OEM dump hose on my 2016 Interstate is manufactured by TIGERFLEX. (the pin holes arrived on their own...)

I just bought 100' of TIGERFLEX BW075 (1"OD/.75"ID) on Amazon for about $150. This is much lower than the Airstream OEM replacement that includes the ball valve assembly, is 20' long, and drop ships for about $250!

I'm going to have about 80' of replacement hose left over after I finish my project...I'll be putting that up on e-bay or offering it at my cost to others that may need it.

Hope this is helpful to others..it was a lengthy quest to find it, since the AI OEM macerator system manufacturer (CleanDump) does not provide Airstream with the hose, and their offered solution is 1.5"OD, which is too big for the Airstream reel.

Be well

You could have saved a lot by just buying this...

I bought this, and had enough for two replacements. I have never needed the full length that it came with, and that full length was too much for the hose reel. This new hose seemed a bit more flexible, but perhaps just because it is new.

Wrong one

Thanks Mike, but it’s the wrong hose. The one you suggest is is 1” ID, not the 3/4” needed.

This one doesn’t fit the reel... but it’s close

Good to know. So the one Titus recommended fits fine as it is 3/4" ID

Tigerflex has a web site. May be able to buy direct and get length you want instead of so much extra for less. Didn't see a price list, but they had a catalog you could download.

You are correct. I just checked mine and it is 1" OD hose.

After a quick search is see that this same issue was discussed about 4 years ago in this thread...

http://www.airforums.com/forums/f240...nt-138401.html

I had some pin holes near the end valve and just cut off about a foot to repair. Others on this forum have done the same.

Tigerflex hose

I called CleanDump. I had a nice chat with the owner who mentioned that he tried to dissuade Airstream from using the 3/4 inch hose because he felt it was too small to flow properly. He said the 1 inch ID would have been much better. He had a small supply of the 3/4 inch ID hose of which I purchased enough to replace the pinholed hose on my reel.

I had already purchased the 1 inch ID hose from Amazon, and of course found it was too big for the nipple on the reel. That resides on a shelf in my garage.

Good info - I think Airstream uses 3/4” hose so they can get more on the hose reel they use.

I get plenty of flow through the 3/4" hose. I always make sure there is a weight on the sewer end because the sudden flow can pull the end out of the sewer opening. Not nice when it happens.

JOHN - ^^^ Same here. Although be nice to have the 1" but as MIKE said below. If it were not for hose reel, we probably can get twice the length & even 1" ID in same space?
