Interstate Club?

Hello,

My husband and I have recently purchased a Airstream Interstate, is there a club that we could join for Interstates? I see on this website there is a club for Airstream owners, is this generally for trailers or are Interstate owners welcome as well? I would hate for my first impression to be stepping in where I shouldn't.

Also, we live in Indiana is there a club to join specifically for hoosiers as well?

Appreciate any info someone could pass along. I am failing miserably in trying to locate something thru google.

Thank you.

As long as you have an Airstream, you are welcome in WBCCI. We have an Interstate owner in the El Camino Real Unit. There are WBCCI units in Indiana and adjoining states.

As long as you have a silver interstate and not one of those fake black ones.

Ok, just kidding! You are welcome and eligible to join any WBCCI unit. I invite you to consider the NOVA unit. We handle all of our business online and leave the camping time for fun!

www.campnova.com for more info or email me at dan@bihary.com

Thanks!

If enough Interstate owners join WBCCI, we might even be able to form an "intra-club" specifically for Airstream b-van owners (Interstate, Avenue, Westphalia, etc.). But there isn't one yet.

You are very welcome here on Airforums. You would also be welcomed in the WBCCI. These are the two largest and most active Airstream groups in the world.

There is a great rally next weekend, at Moraine View State Park near Leroy, Il.

Lots of Airstreams, at least one Interstate , lots of nice folks.

Come join us! Look at the Rally thread for more info and how to make a reservation, or drive over for the day.

Dan, don't hold back, tell us how you really feel...

What do you think about the fake black one Arbogast brought by for is to look over? I like the Classic trailer better, except for the low-back dinette.

Thank you all for the warm welcome and the information! We will definitely be signing up! Thank you for the suggestion of the NOVA unit. We will also see if we are able to attend that rally in Illinois.

Also, our interstate is indeed silver, so we are safe there

Gee... some of my BEST FRIENDS have black ones - Black Airstream Interstates, that is... although he does put out a low sign at rallies that says "AIRSTREAM ->"

Hi, I'm not one for joining clubs, but an Airstream is an Airstream; No reason to segregate motorhomes from trailers. Or Interstates from other motorhomes. Some of my best Airstream friends have motorhomes.

My favorite feedback regarding our "fake black one" has been "Gee, I didn't know Mercedes built a cool van conversion!" Issue resolved as of next Friday. BTW, we also are fake Air Forum members. Hah!

Everyone is always welcome at AirForums rallies, and you would be welcome in your black SOB or Airstream Interstate at Moraine View.

Actually, not next weekend....that's something else ...but the second weekend in June.

Take a drive over.

Actually, if I had a spare $100+K, I would choose a black one. They are very sharp looking!

Yes a black anything in a vehicle is always sharp, but that is as long as the "wet sponge is still in YOUR hand." Had a black car once and it always was in need of washing to look good.

And a California duster.

Plus my black vehicles were like a sauna in the summer.

Yes love black cars and had a black 2004 sprinter. 3 issues
1. Always dirty
2. Hot in the Sommer.
3. Front with stones coming up will show the white primer.
So my AI is white and covered the whole front with a clear plastic.
Still love to look at the black AI.

Silver is the best, IMO.

Silver is nice but since I did not "want" the black on I tuck what was available and it was white.

It's all good.

I see you're from Wheaton, PSchw. Are you coming to the Moraine View rally down here in a couple of weeks?

Lots of Airstreamers to visit with.
