On my Interstate, towing my Honda Fit toad, the receiver and the towbar baseplates are level within half an inch, so I don't need any drop at all. The height of the receiver is about 16 inches.
There is no single hitch that provides all-around utility. When you're ready to tow a trailer, measure the height of the tongue with the trailer level, and get a hitch that lets you tow the trailer level.
But be warned, if you add a drop hitch sometime in the future, you could end up scraping it on the pavement if you ever have to drive up a ramp or steep driveway. Especially if your Interstate is an extended model.
