House Battery Cover

I just got our 2014 Interstate back from dealer service after replacing house batteries and noticed the cover has a few holes that seem to be missing screws.

Does anyone have a picture of their cover and can provide it to show correct install?

It is in the right rear of the coach and has the rear access panel.

Mine came from the factory with several of those screws missing. I added my own after the first time I opened the battery box. Probably not a big deal.

That's what I was afraid of.
No, not a big deal
Just another bit of poor workmanship I guess. And I'm a bit picky. They should be black screws also.

I just wanted to see if anyone has all the screws in.

Thanks Mike.

I don't know which year it change. Our older one you had to remove rear lounge seat.

This one, a 2014, you remove just rear screws to expose batteries and they slide out on a tray.

The difference is the EXT model. All EXTs except the Grand Tour and twin bed models have the pull-out tray, non-EXT has the stacked batteries where you have to disassemble the sofa to access them, twin bed models have them side-by-side under one of the beds.

You're not misreading. I just didn't answer that part.

But to recap in hopefully clearer form:
* T1N Interstates - Under the passenger-side front seat, only one house battery.
* Non-EXT Sofa/lounge models - Two stacked house batteries at the right rear, and you have to remove the sofa cushions to get at them.
* Non-EXT twin bed models - Under one of the beds, two house batteries side-by-side, easy to access.
* EXT Sofa/lounge models - right rear, pull-out tray.
* EXT Twin-bed models - I think the same as the non-EXT twin-bed models but I'm not entirely sure.
* Grand Tour - Don't know. I haven't looked for the house batteries on one yet.

We have two threads going now on battery locations. I just posted the location of the Grand Tour batteries on the other thread. They are under the van near generator on drivers side.

The TIN Interstates also can have a battery under this street side jack-bed on the mid-bed model, the most popular of the early Interstates. This area very easily converts to two 6 volt AGM batteries, giving me all those advantages when solar was added.

So does anyone have the EXT sofa lounge?

Just want a picture of cover on. And how screws look?

I don't have a picture, but my 2013 EXT lounge has 6 holes in the cover - 4 at the corners and one in the center of each the vertical sides. It came with only screws in the 4 corners. Cover is very rigid and I think that screws at opposite corners would be enough.

That's what I am trying to figure out.

How many of those 6 holes should actually have screws in them? Mine came back with only 2 at the top of the cover. I know it's NO big deal to some here but I think if you do something it should be done right.

What SHOULD it look like coming from factory? Granted factory did it CORRECTLY.

Wasn't easy to get a picture on account of the extreme dynamic range - sunlight reflecting on the shiny black.
