Hey y'all! Inheriting a B Van and EXCITED!!!

My grandparents are giving me their 1991 Airstream B Van! They were total Airstream-aholics so, I have grown up loving all things Airstream. They had me sell their trailer last year (and I soooo wanted it)...but called yesterday and asked if I wanted the Bvan! I haven't been able to think about anything else since the phone call! I have 2 kids and a fabulous husband, so this is going to be the best thing ever! I'm praying that repairs will be minimal and that we will have years of fun filled camping adventures! I have checked out the 190 enthusiast page.

What should I know about all of this? Will I be okay taking it without my hubby? Im no genus when it comes to car stuff! It's soooo dark inside... It needs to be brightened up, for sure! I'm worried about mold, too

You not only have the B-van but the family history to go with it. How neat!

My suggestion---air it out well, give everything a good scrubbing, have a trusted mechanic give it a thorough servicing and look-see and go from there.

Take if from a guy who lives in one of the most mold-infested cities in the USA… Scrub the surfaces with vinegar and a natural sponge. That will take care of the mold. The natural sponge tends to be a bit stiffer than the synthetic ones for scrubbing, but still won't scratch most surfaces, and the vinegar is just acidic enough to kill the mold without harming the surfaces, too.
