Has Anyone Installed full width mud flap on Interstate

Now that I am preparing to tow a car I wonder if anyone has installed full length mud flaps to protect the car. I would also be interested in any other steps taken to protect the car.

I installed an Ultraguard Flap. Installation was easy. You may have to cut a hole in the flap to run your wire for the lights on the towed vehicle. I have a dually so the flap had to be extra wide.

I bought a Roadwing mudflap set (not full width, but wider than the dual rear tires on each side: https://www.etrailer.com/Accessories...r/RM-4400.html) that I used for about a year, but got rid of it because it caused problems whenever I had to back into a parking space with a curb at the end. It would drag over the curb backing in, but then snag on the curb coming out because it was flexed the wrong way.

In over a year and over 4000 towing miles since then, I've found that even without the mudflaps, I've still not experienced any damage to my toad from thrown-up gravel or road debris.

I credit the Interstate's built-in mudflaps right behind the tires for keeping most of the debris off the front of the toad, and driving at a speed suitable for road conditions for the rest.
