Has Anybody Debadged Their Interstate?

Might be my 1st mod

Might not get too carried away but....

Thor decal on chrome body molding
Blue-tech emblem
2 Interstate emblems under rear side windows
Maybe Airstream & Interstate on back doors

Just kinda badgy for me

I want to remove the Airstream from the front roof but my wife says no! Ours is badged as a Freightliner not Mercedes. I have thought about removing the badges under the rear windows but they are pop rivited to the body and I don't know what I would do with the remaining holes.

I went the other direction, and added the RennTech badges that I got with the ECU tune.

It would be a head turner to see an AMG Airstream Interstate!

Some of us who had the early Interstates that were badged a dodge or Frieghtliner spent money to badge them Mercedes Benz. One could buy a whole kit to do that. Jim

Would like to see a pic of the RennTech badge. Those might look cool. What about the Viper alarm? Decal? To me, worthwhile since it may be actually useful.

The flashing Viper logo on the windshield is kind of cool. The Basic viper logo on the rear window and side door, not so much, but I've got them on anyway, because an alarm system is more effective as a deterrent if you advertise that you have it. I'll get pictures soon, but I'm at work and my Airstream is at home.

It has been a couple of years and I don't remember the model number. All of the models are modular; choose the modules you want and can afford. The main difference is the control interface. Since I don't have a smartphone, I went with the LED two-way remote. The smartphone interface has unlimited range, though, as long as both you and your Interstate are somewhere that has cell coverage.

But please, try to avoid the proximity sensor. You know the one, that says in an evil Darth Vader voice, "Please step away from the vehicle" if you even walk alongside of it without touching. I really hate those, especially when one is parked alongside my vehicle and I set of their alarm just be getting out of mine.

I pulled every badge I could (the MB stars stayed as did the flat airstream one on the side that's integrated into the molding), sticker, exit sign, warning label and all the fake wood off the dash board the week I bought mine. "We don't need no stinking badges" (Blazing Saddles reference).

RV manufacturers are required to put exit signs on every exit as per NFPA 1192. Ditto the warning labels by the cooktop. I don't think the NFPA police are going to make you put them back, though; it's not like boats where the Coast Guard can inspect at gunpoint and cite you for violations.

Personally, I'm just glad those exit signs aren't required to be lighted!

What did you replace the faux wood with?

Pulled it all off and got 99.9% of the glue leaving it looking like it did before Airstream got their hands on it.

Wasn't aware that the faux wood was on top of anything. What's it look like now?

FWIW, mine has dark gray faux carbon fiber trim thru-out the cab which blends pretty well w/ the rest of the plastic.
