Hmmmmm…..the after picture looks good…..I just don't know what I think about that. Maybe it's a female vs male thing? Venus vs Mars? Personally, I like the faux wood look….I don't think it looks cheap but because you put the thought in my head…..well, I just don't know.
It's too late to think about it now (on east coast)….like Scarlett, I'll think about it tomorrow.

I like the fake wood. Looks less industrial & matches the stuff in the rest of the van.

The way it is added with tape is cheap too and comes loose al the time special on top cover it makes it difficult to add phone bracket or other accessories.
I rather see well made plastic surface the cheaply made wood imitation.

If it's coming off, then they did a 5hit job of prepping the surface. Just like the side molding on mine. I've used enuf 3M body tape to know that w/ proper prep, it doesn't come off.

You properly right as I had no problem to get the sticky glue of the plastic. I am still not putting it back on as I like it better without it.

Ok just must mention this because .... well I am just that kind of person. The"we dont have to show you no stinking badges" line in Blazing Saddles was an homage to the great Clasic Treasure of the Sierra Madre. This movie holds the distinction of being the only movie to wins Oscars for both a father and son.

Was sitting in the back of our interstate the other day at the mall waiting for my wife to return. I overheard two guys stop in front of the van and say "Look, some idiot glued a Mercedes Badge on his van." Was going to explain it to them but then decided...just let it be.

Hope you "glued" all of the other MB stuff on.

Most people are uninformed but feel free to voice their opinions. Me included. Can lead to interesting conversations. Jim

As the "Duke" said, "Life is tough, it's a lot tougher if you're stupid".

Opinion before knowledge. There is a lot of that going around these days.

"Can you provide citations to back that up, or did you just air another fact-free opinion?"

Where were you? It's amazing that they haven't seen MB commercial sprinter vans and wouldn't get that it's the same thing. MB sprinter vans are all over the place!!

I love that story, and find it quite entertaining. Just think, when that bright light made that statement regarding your Interstate, little did he realize that the idiot he was describing was himself.

Leaving badges on your Interstate can lead to some interesting conversations. Last year while parked near Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington DC an elderly couple in a Cadillac pulled up behind me. As I got out they asked: When did Airstream buy Mercedes?

More often I get, "I didn't know Mercedes made motorhomes!"
