Going on the lift - what should I check?

I have an appointment at Upsacale Automotive tomorrow to have John check something for me. If they aren't too busy, I hope to use this opportunity to check some things on the underside of the van. My short list has checks for:
> Loose things
> Leaking things
> Dangling things (Airstream is famous for leaving various wires just flapping in the breeze)
> Tire wear

What else would you suggest I take a look at while I have this chance??

(In Sisters, OR at the moment; 2300 miles into the summer 2012 random wander)

Any rubber bushings like on shocks and sway bars is all I can think of. Let us know what you find.

Glass half full or half empty to an engineer is simply a glass that was over designed.

PM me for sale info on my 2011. SOLD!

Presuming you have a rear wheel drive vehicle it will be a good time to get a good hold on the driveshaft(s) and 'feel' the u-joints. If it's a two piece shaft also check the carrier bearing. Being on a lift sure beats laying on your back to check these.
